How to turn on Network Discovery in Windows XP
- Click START -> Control Panel
- Double Click Network Connections
- Right Click “Local Area Connection”, and click Properties
- Make sure that “File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks” is checked
- Double click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
- Click Advanced
- Click WINS
- Click the Enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP
